Learning to play the drums can aid brain development, emotional intelligence, problem solving, and creativity. In addition, it is a fun way to teach students how to achieve, finish the projects that they have started, and increase their confidence. Through private lesson instruction, students learn techniques to advance their playing abilities. Lessons with an expert teacher are an essential component for music education for any student. Our experienced percussion instructors are excellent! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student, it is never too late to begin or improve.

Oxford Music Academy will help to prepare you for the school band, a garage band, an audition, a performance, or stress release.  Whatever your pursuit, our teachers can assist you. Our goal is to get you playing music that you enjoy. We will give you a solid foundation to apply what you learn to the style of music that you like the most.

Program Options

Private Lesson Options

• Prep Lessons (30-minutes): Prep lessons are best suited for young students and beginners. The shorter time means that the lesson is fast-paced to help students stay engaged the entire time.

• Standard Lessons (45-minutes): Standard lessons are best suited for older beginners, transfer students, and adults. The longer lesson length provides adequate time for students to receive a thorough understanding of reading, technique, musicianship, and theory. 

• Advanced Lessons (60-minutes): Advanced lessons are best suited for experienced students with a diligent practice routine. Since the fundamentals are already understood, these lessons will focus on refining technique and musicianship to prepare students for advanced repertoire.

Tuition

Lessons are once per week following the academy calendar. Tuition is divided into equal monthly payments for your convenience. When starting mid-month, the tuition is adjusted accordingly. Students can withdraw anytime when providing notice by the 15th of the month. The exact tuition amount depends on the program, teacher, and lesson length.

30-Minute Options: $65-$125 per month
45-Minute Options: $95-183 per month
60-Minute Options: $125-240 per month
