Oxford Music Academy FAQ’s
What are your hours? Lessons are available by appointment 7 days a week. Our office hours vary.
What is the monthly tuition?
Group Classes (available for select ages and instruments):
$98 per month for weekly 45-minute classes
$129 per month for weekly 60-minute classesPrivate Lessons:
$129 per month for weekly 30-minute lessons
$189 per month for weekly 45-minute lessons
$248 per month for weekly 60-minute lessons
The sign-up fee is $25. We offer discounts for additional family members or multiple instruments - $10 per family for 2 students or instruments, $20 per family for 3 students or instruments, and $30 per family for 4 students or instruments.
When I sign-up, do I need to commit to a full year? Not at all! Students can withdraw any month of the year. If you decide to withdraw, all you need to do is let us know by 15th of your final month by submitting a withdrawal form.
What if I have to miss a week? No problem! You can cancel a lesson at any time for any reason. With at least 24-hours notice, you will receive a make-up credit. We give you many flexible options for using your credits. You can schedule extra lessons, longer lessons, or multiple lessons per week. Credits can also be used to try out a new instrument, shared with immediate family members, or applied towards summer camps, ensemble programs, and accompanists. You have 180 days to use your credits. Any expired credits are donated to help students in need.
Do you rent or sell instruments? We offer instruments for rent and/or purchase, as well as books and accessories.
Where are you located? We are located in beautiful Oxford, Ohio near Miami University. We are next door to the Oxford Library and above Great Clips.
What are the lesson lengths? You can choose from weekly 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons or sign-up for a single trial lesson.

Can I change teachers or instruments after I get started? Absolutely! Just contact the office and we’ll help you out!

What is the Award System? We have a fun award system that enables the students to earn wristbands and engraved trophies every 3 to 6 months. We also offer Practice Challenges that encourage students to practice regularly to earn rewards.
Do you offer Garage Bands, Ensembles, Group Classes, and Recitals? Once they start learning their instruments, we offer students to join Garage Bands, group classes, ensembles, and recitals. Small groups meet occasionally for the performance experience.
Are recitals required? No, they are not required. We encourage you to attend one of our recitals to see how they work. We think you will enjoy it!
Do you offer online lessons? Yes, you are welcome to have your lesson online. Please notify us before the lesson so we can notify the teacher. You can join the lesson from your profile page or request a link from the office.
What are first-lesson instructions? Please come 3 to 5 minutes before the lesson starts. Sanitize your hands and have a seat in the Student Waiting Area. The teacher will come for you when it is time. Parents are welcome to attend the lesson, wait in your car, or leave and return. We ask that you don’t wait in the student waiting area so we can keep that area free for students coming and going.
